Visit the Farm
Farm Visits – Soulshine Farm is only open to the public during scheduled activities (Soulshine Farm Summer Camp, yoga classes, shop hours, Farm Chore Fridays, and other events.) If you’d like to learn more about any of our programs, please consider attending a Farm Chore Friday. This is a great way for children and families to become familiar with us and the farm prior to the camp session.
If you are unable attend a Friday session, or if you’d like to visit the farm prior to the start of Farm Chore Fridays, please email or call us to set up a time to visit the farm. The farm is a working farm, and additionally we both work from home. We are not able to accommodate pop-in camp inquiries. Thank you for your understanding.
School Groups… Scouts… Seniors…
School Groups are welcome at Soulshine Farm. Upon request, trips can be planned, and lessons designed to meet curriculum standards for various topics across the grade levels. Our Farm owner is certified as a Supervisor of Instruction and Teacher – very familiar with developing lesson plans. We provide thorough prep materials for teachers to introduce prior to the farm visit, along with follow up materials for after the trip, and a “note to parents” that can be sent home. Contact us for more information or to discuss your needs.
Lots of options to choose from: Pumpkin picking, fiber arts demonstration (Spinning), gardening lessons, pond study, learn about raising chickens/sheep, composting, beekeeping, honey harvesting, and environmental education.
Scout Groups are also welcome at the farm. We are happy to plan a visit around topics and activities needed to complete scouting requirements. We have done science-based programs as well as crafts, environment/composting, animal care, beekeeping, honey harvesting, yoga, self-care/healthy living.
Seniors enjoy the farm too! We loved to share time outside with seniors from local assisted living centers, or other senior groups. Come sit near the pond – sun on your face, fresh air, birds singing, stream water running nearby, alpacas and sheep in the field. Join us for fresh baked cookies and conversation. We can often arrange for children to be visiting at the same time for a nice social outing for all.
